So I am really making an effort to learn new eating habits and decided that since the majority of my diet is processed crap that I would stock up on fresh fruits and veggies and try to eat (primarily) unprocessed foods.
I just wanted to know if anyone out there had suggestions for food combinations to try so I don't get bored too quickly. Its been about a week and I am really proud and can feel my body is working more efficiently. I also quit caffeine 5 days ago and finally got through the headache withdrawls.

Hey my advice is to buy a steamer. They are really cheap and you can steam veggies and meat in them and tis really healthy and so simple- you just put them in, press a button and leave it. It beeps when its done. It really is the most delicious way to eat veggies too. It makes it easy to stick to being healthy because it is so easy. Steamed fish is especially yummy. I think you can even cook rice in them although I havent tried that before.

I have a bamboo steamer that you put over a wok. Unsanitary but cooooooooooooooool.
I remember alot of things, just nothing important.

I have the Raw Food Detox Diet book by Natalia Rose which has some really good stuff in it. I think that's where I got the "green lemonade" juice drink I like.
I see there's a book called Raw Food made easy for 1 or 2 people--that looks interesting.

homemade smoothies are a good way to get your fruit intake. and you can premake them and stick them in the freezer for later. other than that, i have just started taking raw veggies to work to eat instead of the usual pepperoni twist(a pepperoni stick wrapped in cheese bun) soooo tasty but soooo bad for you lol. I want a juicer....and jada's steamer sounds nifty too, i may have to get one, im totally for making cooking easier, especially since my bf hasn't been here to cook for me lol

sweet potato, parsnips and carrots chopped up and roasted together are amazing. get yourself some chicken, mix it with a little cheese and fahita seasoning, stuff it into a hollowed out red pepper ,roast the ***** and eat the tits off it.
mash sweet potato rocks.
Soups are brilliant for increasing your veggie intake. big pot, 4 large leeks, an onion, chicken stock, 4 potatoes, lots of water, boil it, blitz it, add a tub of cream. EAT YOUR FACE!!!!! alternatively just get a turnip, onions, leeks, potatoes, carrots etc and boil with some chicken stock for some oofty vegetable soup.
then there is the pasta salad type combos which are quite nice also. spring onions and apples chopped up, stick it through some pasta with a tablespoon of mayo and about 3/4 of sour cream/ creme fraiche. that should serve a few and its absolutely delicious.
Sometimes at the end of the month when im out of food ill use large chunky mushrooms in place of chicken too. its not the exact same but its tasty!
Fruit juices are brilliant. fruit in general is always good to have round to snack on (assuming you arent allergic *throws dummy out pram*) spaghetti sauces are really easy to make and tend to involve a tonne of tomatoes. generally just looking for home made recipies will help you realise how much processed **** you could easily make yourself and tbh it tends to be a lot tastier if you do.

If you like yams I learned a side dish on food network. You chop up the yams into cubes. Also chop up a couple shallots. Saute the shallots in a couple tablespoons of olive oil. Throw in the yams and cook until tender. While this is cooking for seasoning you sprinkle on brown sugar. The amount you put on is depending on your taste.
Seriously this is super good!!! If you like potato soup or tomato soup let me know I have some good recipies for those too.

I appreciate the suggestions but I HATE sweet potatos/yams. Bleh!
We are getting a george foreman type grill this weekend so thats making me happy.
