Nope, you really want to use as little as possible, and as Jada says it all depends on what you want to do with it, as to what you want. I honestly just use mousse and that's it. I use about a palm full and work it in when wet and let it dry naturally. the less product and such the better.

I usually just flat iron my hair, if I even bother to do it. I wash and condition it, and then use a leave in shine enhancer. I color my hair pretty frequently, and that helps it feel nicer. If I curl it, I use hairspray both before and after I curl it, as it falls out by the time I'm finished curling it if I don't.
My advice would be to book an appointment with a stylist, and then have them explain what they are doing, step by step. Also ask tons of questions. Most of the time, they will be happy to help.

My typical day is: Leave in heat protector +protein treatment I will then use my ghd's Followed by a shine serum and hairspray.
When I'm looking for something special I like to use moose(sp?) To create a big punk quiff thing. It holds it really well without being stiff.

I just had my hair cut last night kind of short (Only abount an inch long pony tail) and there was this product they used in my hair after shampooing and conditioning that I went out and bought after cuz it is amazing. It's called "It's a 10" is does 10 diff things like making you hair shiny, detangles, defrizz, heat protecting, etc. It;s kind of expensive but for someone like me who has horribly frizzy and damaged hair, it's a godsend!
Only 21 days til I get to see my baby girl <3

Definitely get heat defence spray (if you haven't already), its not so much of a styling product but with drying and using straightening irons on your hair, you're gonna need it. Some products like volumising spray do have heat defence in them already though. I'm not really sure what else to suggest as I'm not sure how you wanna style your hair.

what's a ghd?
Real Simple mag just had an article, which says you need 3: a leave in conditioner, a styling product right for your hair type, and hairspray.
I think if you are going to use hot tools, you also need a heat defense thing.
Sometimes I use the shine spray, but don't like to do that a lot, because a lot of silicone will weight down my fine hair.
One product I really like is DevaCurls Set it Free curl spray. It's a must on those days I go curly and just scrunch.

GHDs are straightening irons and they're supposed to be the best around
