Band aids for new nipple piercings ?

Postby silvertip » Mon Nov 02, 2009 4:46 pm

Hi,I want to get my nipples pierced, but want to be able to swim in a pool this fall/winter....So here's my question: Has anyone had any experience with covering them to keep the water out of the piercing that works good? You think that there would be something that would do the job... Any input would be greatly great !!
Thanks, silvertip

Tegaderm waterproof bandages are usually recommended for this type of thing, although I haven't used them personally.

That sounds awesome Silvertip!! Looking forward to the photos!!

I've used tegaderm for that exact purpose, and they do work well. Just make sure the clean the area around it and put the tegaderm on ~10min prior to your swim so that it has a chance to form a good seal.

Cheers u:0)

Post an update when you do get them done !

It's weird, after my first piercing now I want more, it's addictive. I think nipples would be the next ones I'd consider as well.

Be very gentle removing them, Silver. I used regular bandaids after I got my nips done. The bandaids didn't hurt coming off, but after 2 or 3 rounds of using them, I had lots of bruising from the bandaids. The kind where the capillaries break and it looks really bad. They all went away, eventually.
At the risk of sounding like Kenny Rogers, you got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em. I fold.
