Can my navel be pierced?

Postby zombieman » Sun Nov 01, 2009 9:52 am

I am a guy, who's thinking of having his navel pierced. I dont think it is suitable for a standard piercing, what are your thoughts?

I am SO confused! FIrst pic looks innie 2nd looks outie.

It honestly doesn't look like there is enough flesh to pierce through, but a consult with a piercer would be in your favor. There are always alternatives like anchors though.

True outies should not be pierced, but I don't think yours is a true outie. There should be enough skin to pinch up for a piercing, though. Try to get evaluated by a really good piercer. A fly-by-night piercer may pierce you even if you aren't really suited for it, and then you'll have a failed piercing and be unhappy.

Thanks for your advise. I dont think my navel is a true outtie either. I will consult a good piercer.

So I consulted a piercer and he said it would probably reject. So I had both nipples pierced instead

well before I think about pics, i was hoping for some advise, I had them pierced with barbells just under a week ago. One piercing looks fine and the other one looks a bit crooked. I can straighten it up and then it slips back down. I'm guessing you might say go back to the piercer but shall i leave it another week to see how it goes. Or take it and get it redone another time?

Give it time. It could look crooked due to swelling.

What Ms. Jen said! Piercings also tend to settle into a spot they are most comfortable in-this could be the case with your nipple, esp. if it is just slightly crooked. If it is seriously crooked and it bothers you, you may need to go back to the shop. I've learned to live with a crooked piercing myself.
