I was hoping I could catch Elayne Angel sometime if she's near the Twin Cities MN area and make an appointment to have her do it (or whichever piercing I decide on).. Its pretty much my dream to be pierced by and be able to talk to her.

Me too...she's coming to Detroit next week (!!!) Too bad I'm turning 17 next week instead of 18.. Oh well, I still need the money and there's no WAY I can get this before college as I am broke.

I've done done some research, and I'm ready to get my first hood piercing, but I still have a few questions. I figured here would be the best to get some answers. Which kind is the best/most common for me, as a first timer? And seriously, should I be prepared for a LOT of pain, recovery, etc. Please tell me what to expect. Also, how long do I wait until sex? And any tips on healing? Many thanks!!

My first genital piercing was a vertical hood (VCH), which was relatively painless and quick and easy to heal. I'd say a VCH or HCH would be great for a first timer. I've learned that just leaving it alone and just cleaning my vag daily in the shower was best for healing for me, Although I did do sea salt soaks while I was healing my two outer labias and when I got 4 inners in one sitting. I would not recommend outers for a first timer, mine were my most painful to date (worse than my suspension piercings). It's recommended to wait until they fully heal (around six weeks) to have sex, but if you feel like you HAVE to have sex before the healing period is done, at least have your so use a condom and listen to your body. If you try something and it hurts, stop doing it.
It's called STRETCHING your piercings, not gauging or up - gauging them.

Resurrection Suspension in my Avatar is thanks to The Holy Mackerel in St. Paul, Minnesota. Photos were taken by Tellach Photography.
