Prince Albert and swimming

Postby HenryFlowers » Sun Feb 19, 2017 10:23 pm

Hey all. I want to get a Prince Albert done but have a beach vacation coming up in 5 weeks when I will be flying to Puerto Rico. I will be swimming and possibly surfing in the ocean.

Is that sufficient time to allow for healing or should I wait until I return?

Also: does jewelry trigger the scanners at the airport?

You should probably wait until you return. A PA is not completely healed after 5 weeks (depending on your body), I would wait.
In my experience, the jewelry doesn't show up on the scanner until it's substantial in gauge. I was left alone in the security scanning until I reached 00g. After that - well, I change to an acrylic piece when I travel... :-)

Kayman72 is correct, I would wait and do it when you return. This will give you something to look forward to when the vacation is over blues set in. I do this every spring after I return from a cruise. Hence, I will be getting my 2nd Guiche in April u:D
Nipples 14g Bar Bells
PA 2g 1/2" ring
Ears 2g titanium tunnels
Triple Guiche piercing
One shoulder tat, two arm tats
